Circles in the Sky
From the high and misty peaks where shadows play,
A single drop of silver breaks away,
Leaping from mountain streams to laughing creeks,
Chasing the rhythm that the water seeks.
Through rivulets that wind and rivers wide,
They dance together toward the turning tide,
Journeyed down to the great, unfathomed sea
The wild, wide ocean of our melody.
And there, where currents merge and waters meet,
Stands a coffee house on a local street,
The UN ur Ban café,
where for thirty golden years,
The Song Birds gathered to dispel our fears.
Like mist that rises in the morning heat,
To float above the asphalt and the concrete,
The music climbs into the waiting air,
To paint a sky of promise everywhere.
The singing souls, like sunbirds on the wing,
Catch the updraft of the songs they bring,
Gathering clouds of harmony and grace,
To rain back down upon this sacred space.
They pour the sunshine of a brighter day,
Washing the dust of lonely roads away,
Uplifting hearts beneath the city’s dome,
And drawing every wandered spirit home.
For in this circle, ethereal and sweet,
The ancient waters and the verses meet.
We are rewoven by the tunes they share,
To find the bonds of love still waiting there
Connected by the stream, the cloud, the song,
The endless cycle where we all belong.
