Catch the Spark of the Unurban Dawn
We have braided our pulses into
a single, global wire,
clasping hands across the
fault lines of the earth
a living circuit celebrating
Liberty…
Liberty from the
heavy, choking mire,
breaking free from the
gravity of
cruelty and old despair.
We unleash our potentials
in jagged, neon streaks,
every colorful expression
trying, colliding,
rising in a sacred song,
cracking open our chest cavities
to the ancient, blinding peaks
where the Great Spirit worlds
above and before us have
waited all along.
Tomorrow, we descend upon
the Unurban Cafe.
Wild, leaving the sterile,
concrete grids behind to join the
raw, electric chorus
of the Sunday Songbirds.
Come stomp your feet, stomp, stomp
until the floorboards splinter
Unwind, lock arms,
embrace your beautiful,
fractured friends,
and scream-sing your passion
directly into the teeth of the dark.
This is where the numbness ends.
This is where we catch the Spark.
