Tumbling from the Darkness

We stand upon the precipice of night,

With paint and strings, we seek a hidden light.

A sudden step, a leap without a guide,

Tumbling from the darkness, nowhere left to hide.

We let the shadows take us as they will,

Falling forward into arms to catch the thrill.

Our voices rise, the brass begins to bend,

Daredevil’s descent where rules transcend.

We throw ourselves to the vast unknown,

To reap  wild magic we have sown.

With every reckless strum and breathless chord,

We walk the razor’s edge without a word,

Gathering up the fragments of a spark,

We forge a sudden fire within the dark.

From ethers something bright is spun,

A brand new masterpiece for everyone.

From deep within a well of grace,

A grand goodwill that occupies this space.

We brave the plunge because we feel the tie,

A sense of deep belonging, you and I.

And so we gather where the dreamers play,

The protective awning:  The Unurban Cafe.

Here we celebrate the pulse of what could be,

The deep, unlocking vaults of mystery.

The sheer potential in a quiet room,

Before the instruments begin to boom.

We take the leap, we sing the risky song,

Because we know exactly where we belong.

Together in the thrill, the chance, the spin,

   We tumble from the darkness,

we always win.
