Last night, the Unurban Coffeehouse in Santa Monica wasn’t just warm – it was on fire.

  Suzy Williams, a vocal force of nature, and Steve Weisberg, a piano virtuoso of the highest order, unleashed a sonic tempest that left the audience breathless, buzzing, and begging for more. 

 This wasn’t just a performance; it was an experience.

From the first note, Suzy’s’ kitty kat voice kaptivated.  

Raw, powerful, yet laced with an intimate vulnerability, she poured her heart and soul into every original song.  There were also 2 covers. Each piece was a story, beautifully crafted and delivered with the kind of emotional intensity that makes the hairs on your arms stand on end.

 Think Janis Joplin /Sophie Tucker, meets Bessie Smith with a dash of something entirely, uniquely Suzy.

And then there was Weisberg.  

Oh, Steve Weisberg!  His piano playing was nothing short of transcendental.  Fingers flying across the keys with impossible speed and dexterity, he conjured melodies that were both breathtakingly beautiful and infectiously catchy. In his very cool Straw Fedora,  he wasn’t just accompanying Williams; he was weaving a sonic tapestry around her voice, creating a synergy that was pure magic.

But the magic didn’t stop there.

Suzy &  Weisberg’s humor were as contagious as their talent.  Suzy’s witty banter between songs and raucous live stories had the entire house in stitches. She’s a master of comedic timing, turning the performance into a joyous celebration of Music, Love, Life and laughter. 

 The energy in the room was electric!

The combination of Suzy’s soul-stirring vocals, Weisberg’s mind-blowing piano skills, and their side-splitting humor was a recipe for pure, unadulterated joy. 

 The crowd was completely mesmerized, hanging on every note, every word, every enigmatic or not so, tattle tale..  

Gerry Fialka the famous Pixelated Sage of Venice, not so hidden in the audience, Hubbie of the Suzy Woosie, was rightfully adorned and adulated by love songs directed straight his way.

To top off this hilarious and outlandish evening of fun, Steve Weisberg honored his beautiful wife, Sherril Schlesinger, with a song called “After All These Years, sung by Suzy…Twice!

By the end of the night, the energy was so high, the applause so thunderous, that a standing ovation was inevitable.  It wasn’t just deserved; it was demanded!
